We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Rotational 2/2 Male Sous Chef for a prestigious 65m private motor yacht. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary-trained chef with strong restaurant background to step into a structured, professionally run galley environment and contribute to an elevated, contemporary cuisine program.
Role Overview – What You’ll Be Working On
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-end, diverse menus for a private family and their guests, as well as well-balanced crew meals. You’ll execute and present refined dishes to a consistent standard, assist in menu development, provisioning, stock control, and galley organisation, while ensuring impeccable cleanliness and food safety at all times. This is a 2:2 rotational position, offering an excellent work–life balance onboard a vessel with a stable, professional crew.

Who You Are
You are a culinary-trained chef with a solid background in quality restaurants, brasseries, or fine dining kitchens, now looking to transfer or build your skills in the superyacht world. You are comfortable working in a compact galley environment, can follow direction from a Head Chef, and take pride in delivering consistent, beautifully executed food. You have a calm, positive attitude, are eager to learn, and understand the demands of a private yacht where flexibility, discretion and professionalism are key.
You’ll be particularly suited to this role if you are British, between 23 and 28, with a strong work ethic, good sense of humour, and a genuine desire to grow within a professional, long-term program.

- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing high-quality, contemporary menus for owners and guests
- Prepare and present consistently well-executed crew meals that are varied, nutritious, and aligned with dietary requirements
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene throughout the galley, following all food safety procedures
- Support with provisioning, stock rotation, inventory control, and managing supplies according to itinerary and budget
- Execute dishes to spec and standard set by the Head Chef, while contributing creative ideas for menus, specials, and themed dinners when appropriate
- Adapt to changing guest numbers, tastes, and schedules, ensuring timely service and a flexible approach during busy periods or trips
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and interior team to coordinate service, special events, and dietary needs discreetly
- Ensure correct storage, labelling, and handling of all food items to minimise waste and maintain optimal freshness
- Uphold the yacht’s standards of professionalism, grooming, and behaviour, representing the vessel and mymuybueno ethos at all times
- Contribute positively to crew morale and a respectful working culture, supporting team members and assisting in other areas when required
- Culinary-trained chef with recognised qualifications (e.g. culinary school, NVQ, City & Guilds, equivalent)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ solid experience in quality restaurants, brasseries, or fine-dining kitchens
- Previous yacht experience preferred but not essential, provided you have strong restaurant pedigree and a clear motivation for yachting
- Valid STCW (including PSA) and ENG1 (or equivalent seafarer medical) in hand by start date
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 (minimum), Level 3 preferred
- Strong skills in modern European/ British cuisine, with confidence across fresh fish, meats, sauces, and vegetable cookery
- Able to work cleanly and efficiently in a compact galley, with excellent organisation and time management
- Professional, discreet, and positive attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction
- Preference for British male candidates aged 23–28, in line with cabin arrangements and program requirements
- Fully available to start by 1st September and commit to a long-term, rotational position
