About the Role: Sole Chef – 45m Private M/Y

We are seeking a professional, culinary-trained Sole Chef for a 45m private motor yacht, to join ASAP and complete the season. This is a hands-on, guest-focused role where you will be fully responsible for all culinary operations on board, from provisioning through to service and galley management. The style of cuisine is family-style, bistro-type cooking – honest, seasonal dishes, using quality ingredients cooked well and presented beautifully. You will cater for both guests and crew, ensuring a consistently high standard and a calm, well-organised galley.

What You’ll Be Working On

You will lead the entire culinary operation on board: planning and executing daily menus for owners, guests, and crew; managing provisioning and stock; maintaining impeccable food safety and cleanliness; and adapting flexibly to changing guest plans. You’ll balance guest-level bistro and family-style service with nutritious, appealing crew meals, all within the unique constraints of a 45m private yacht.

Who You Are

You are a confident, organised Sole Chef with previous yachting experience who enjoys cooking approachable, flavour-driven food to a high standard. You are comfortable running a one-person galley, planning balanced menus, and working with owners and guests who appreciate simplicity done exceptionally well. You handle pressure with composure, communicate clearly with the Captain and crew, and are ready to step in at short notice to see the season through. A strong work ethic, adaptability, and genuine pride in your craft are essential.
