The Role: Freelance Female Chef – Private Villa, Mykonos (6-Week Booking)

We are seeking an experienced and polished Freelance Female Chef to join a private family in their luxury villa in Mykonos for an approximately 6-week booking, through to the end of August. You will be the Sole Chef, living in, and responsible for delivering fresh, healthy, family-style cuisine as well as beautifully presented platters and light entertaining menus for a family of six and their occasional guests.

Drawing on your strong background as a Sole Chef on yachts, you will be confident running the kitchen end-to-end: menu planning, provisioning, execution, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and discretion. This is an excellent opportunity for a calm, capable, and health-focused chef who thrives in a private, informal yet high-expectation setting.

What You’ll Be Working On

Over the 6-week booking, you will plan and prepare daily meals and snacks, focusing on healthy, seasonal dishes, freshly baked breads, vibrant salads, juices, and sharing platters. You will manage provisioning on the island, liaise with the principal or family representative on preferences and dietary needs, and ensure the villa kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while you reside on-site.

Who You Are

You are a confident Female Chef with solid Sole Chef experience on yachts or in similar high-end, private environments. You are highly organised, self-sufficient, and able to adapt quickly to new kitchens and locations. You have a passion for healthy, flavourful cooking, and are equally strong in day-to-day family meals and relaxed entertaining. Discretion, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential, as is a polished, professional demeanour within a family setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as Sole Chef in the private villa kitchen, taking full responsibility for daily culinary operations
- Plan, prepare, and execute healthy, balanced menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of six and their guests
- Create fresh breads, breakfast items, juices, smoothies, salads, and sharing platters tailored to the family’s tastes and dietary requirements
- Source and purchase the best local, seasonal ingredients on Mykonos, managing all provisioning and stock control
- Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, organisation, and food safety at all times
- Liaise directly with the principal or family representative to understand preferences, adjust menus, and anticipate needs
- Adapt menus and service style for casual family dining as well as relaxed entertaining and small gatherings
- Manage waste, storage, and equipment with care, ensuring the villa kitchen is respected and left in excellent condition
- Work collaboratively with household/villa staff (if present) to coordinate meal times and service seamlessly
- Represent mymuybueno with a professional, discreet, and service-oriented attitude throughout the booking

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Sole Chef on yachts (or equivalent high-end, sole-charge roles) with strong references
- Demonstrable background cooking for private families, VIPs, or HNW/UHNW clients in villas, chalets, residences, or on board
- Strong focus on healthy, seasonal, Mediterranean-style cuisine, including salads, grains, lean proteins, and light, fresh dishes
- Confident with freshly baked breads, breakfast items, juices, smoothies, and beautifully presented sharing platters
- Comfortable planning and executing daily menus for a family of six, plus occasional guests, in an informal but high-standard environment
- Excellent organisational skills, including provisioning, stock rotation, budgeting awareness, and maintaining a spotless kitchen
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to fit seamlessly into a private family setting
- Physically fit and able to work long days when required during peak holiday periods
- Available to live in on-site in Mykonos for the full 6-week booking through to the end of August
- Legally able to work in Greece/EU and fluent in English (additional languages an advantage)
