We are seeking an experienced Rotational 2/2 Head Chef to join an 85m Private M/Y starting 9th May. This prestigious vessel is part of a fleet of luxury yachts, offering worldwide cruising opportunities. The ideal candidate must bring creativity, resilience, and a solid background in professional yacht culinary roles. This is a rotational position (2 months on/2 months off) and requires someone who thrives in delivering high-quality dining experiences tailored to the tastes of the owner and esteemed guests. The position does not accept UK/British chefs, as the owner prefers diversity with crew and culinary influences, and they already have Brits within the fleet. The candidate should demonstrate professionalism, longevity in similar roles, and enthusiasm for working in a high-performing team.
1. Manage all galley operations, including provisioning, budgeting, and maintaining pristine kitchen standards.\n2. Prepare and execute high-quality, diverse menus for the owner, guests, and crew, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.\n3. Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations in the galley at all times.\n4. Collaborate with the interior team to provide seamless and exceptional dining experiences.\n5. Maintain inventory control, monitor product quality, and source fresh, seasonal ingredients during cruising.\n6. Lead and manage the galley team, providing direction and support to meet the vessel's culinary expectations.
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef on large yachts, with proven longevity in previous roles.\n2. Culinary qualifications from an internationally recognized institution.\n3. Must hold a valid B1/B2 Visa for worldwide travel.\n4. Ability to deliver a wide variety of international cuisines tailored to the tastes of the owner and guests.\n5. Strong creativity and adaptability to design menus reflecting seasonal ingredients and fresh produce availability.\n6. Must be between 28 and 38 years of age, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
