We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and experienced Sous Chef to join a 65m busy dual-season charter motor yacht. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic culinary professional with a strong land based and around a year of yachting background to work in a high-paced environment. You will be joining the vessel on March 31st in the Bahamas, with the possibility to embark on a charter or assist in the crossing back to the Mediterranean. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests and crew while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the galley.
1. Assist the Head Chef in preparing high-quality meals for guests and crew, tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences.
2. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the galley in compliance with yacht standards and maritime regulations.
3. Collaborate with provisioning to ensure efficient stock management and sourcing of ingredients for upcoming charters or crossings.
4. Support the Head Chef in menu planning, food presentation, and ensuring dishes meet the yacht's and guests' expectations.
5. Adhere to safety protocols and consistently promote a secure working environment in the galley.
6. Act as a reliable team player, contributing to the overall success of the charter operation while fostering a positive onboard atmosphere.
1. Male candidate due to cabin arrangements.
2. A minimum of 3 years of shore-side culinary experience, with formal culinary training.
3. At least 12 months of yachting experience, preferably on busy charter yachts.
4. Possession of a Ship's Cook Certificate or equivalent qualification.
5. Aged between 24 and 30 years old, with solid references from both shore-side and yachting roles.
6. Ability to adapt to a demanding dual-season charter schedule and work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
