Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sole Chef for a seasonal position aboard a 40m Private M/Y. The ideal candidate will be skilled in kosher meal preparation and familiar with working in a dynamic and diverse environment. You will cater for a distinguished family and a crew of nine, delivering fresh and healthy meals that comply with strict dietary requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the family throughout their seasonal travels, with potential to transition to a larger yacht 70m new build next year or work at the family villa in Miami.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve kosher meals for the owner, family, and crew, ensuring adherence to dietary laws and restrictions. 2. Plan menus that incorporate fresh, local ingredients and cater to the family's preferences, primarily vegetarian. 3. Regularly inspect and maintain kitchen inventory and cleanliness, with an emphasis on sourcing high-quality produce. 4. Collaborate with the captain and other crew to ensure seamless service and meal scheduling. 5. Manage provisioning and budget, including visiting trusted suppliers in different locations. 6. Adapt to the family's spontaneous schedule, ensuring flexibility in meal preparation and serving times.

Skills & Experience

1. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a yacht chef, with a focus on kosher cuisine. 2. Proven ability to create healthy, simple, and family-style buffet meals, with a focus on fresh fish and local ingredients. 3. Strong organizational skills and adaptability to irregular meal schedules. 4. Good interpersonal skills to maintain a harmonious working relationship with the crew and family. 5. Willingness and ability to work in various locations, including preparation time in Antibes and transitioning to Greece in April.
