Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented 2nd Chef to join a Private 100m+ M/Y. This is an incredible opportunity to become a part of an outstanding team, contributing to a world-class culinary experience for our esteemed guests. Joining us from the 1st of April, you will work on a 4:2 rotational basis, ensuring the smooth operation of the galley while delivering high standards of cuisine and service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving diverse and exquisite meals for guests and crew. 2. Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen at all times. 3. Manage inventory and provisioning efficiently, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available when needed. 4. Contribute to menu planning and creation, bringing creative concepts and new culinary ideas to the table. 5. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 6. Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless meal service and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

1. Culinary trained with a relevant diploma or degree in culinary arts. 2. Demonstrated solid longevity in previous land-based roles and yacht engagements. 3. Exceptional skills in various cuisines, with a commitment to innovative and high-quality food preparation. 4. Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently manage galley operations. 5. Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment. 6. Valid STCW certification, ENG1 medical certificate, and other relevant safety and hygiene qualifications.
