Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Rotational Head Chef to join an elite culinary team on a 110m+ Private M/Y. Working closely with the Executive Head Chef, the successful candidate will lead a talented corps of 8 Chefs, split across two prestigious vessels. As the Head Chef, you will ensure the highest level of culinary excellence, catering to the refined tastes and dietary preferences of our distinguished guests. This is a rotational position with a 2:2 rotation, offering a dynamic working environment that encompasses various global destinations including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Scandinavia, and Pacific. The yacht is privately owned and does not participate in charter operations, with owner usage approximately four months per year.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a team of 8 chefs across two vessels, ensuring high culinary standards are consistently met.
2. Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef to plan and execute a diverse and sophisticated menu catering to guest preferences.
3. Maintain an immaculate galley environment, overseeing hygiene, safety, and kitchen equipment maintenance.
4. Guide and mentor the culinary team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring team morale is high.
5. Adapt to dynamic cruising schedules and locations, ensuring culinary service excellence during long voyages.
6. Engage in continuous improvement by assimilating feedback and making necessary adjustments to enhance guest satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

1. Minimum of 10 years of quality cooking experience with at least 5 years on premier league yachts.
2. Proven experience leading a team of chefs on larger vessels.
3. Fluent in English with smart appearance and good grooming standards.
4. Expertise in a range of cuisines including Mediterranean, Asian, and Mexican.
5. Ability to learn and adhere to the specific culinary preferences of the owners.
6. Calm and respectful management style, embodying our 'no a**holes' policy and embracing multinational and multicultural diversity.
