We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef ready to transition into a Head Chef role aboard an 80m Private M/Y with a Rotational 2/2 schedule.
This role is for ONLY sous chef who have been around 2 solid years +- no jumping around- on a similar size vessel. You must have a strong culinary background on land in good restaurants, again with proven longevity.
This is a Head Chef role, rotational 2/2, worldwide travel, amazing package and fantastic crew and owner.
1. Lead the culinary team in planning and delivering exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
2. Develop seasonal and creatively inspired menus, showcasing a variety of cuisines and catering to guests' preferences.
3. Manage inventory, stock and supply orders, and control food provisioning budgets.
4. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and maritime regulations related to food storage, preparation, and kitchen operations.
5. Collaborate closely with owners, guests, and crew to provide tailored dining solutions and maintain a friendly onboard atmosphere.
6. Mentor and oversee the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff, fostering a productive and harmonious working environment.
1. Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience as a Sous Chef on a similar-sized vessel, exhibiting stability and commitment.
2. Extensive culinary background with strong foundational skills acquired through work in reputable restaurants on land.
3. Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in managing galley operations at sea.
4. A valid certification in culinary arts and relevant maritime training and certifications.
5. Strong ability to create and execute diverse, high-quality menus that cater to various dietary preferences and requirements.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire the culinary team.
