We are seeking a dedicated and talented Male Sous Chef for a Rotational 2/2 position aboard an 80m Private M/Y. This position is perfectly suited for individuals with 1-2 seasons or 1 year experience in the yachting industry, aiming to advance their culinary careers in a maritime setting. The successful candidate will embark on a worldwide cruise, starting from the end of January, and will work under the guidance of the Head Chef to provide exceptional culinary experiences for guests and crew alike.
1. Assist the Guest Head Chef in planning, preparation, and service of meals aboard the yacht.
2. Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in all culinary operations when working solo onboard feeding crew.
3. Contribute to menu development with innovative and diverse culinary ideas.
4. Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operation and service.
5. Manage inventory, assisting in ordering and stocking kitchen supplies.
6. Adapt meals and catering to the preferences and dietary needs of guests and crew.
1. Male culinary professional with 1-2 seasons or 1 year's experience on yachts.
2. Strong background in restaurant settings before transitioning to yachting.
3. Demonstrated stability and longevity in previous land-based roles with reliable references.
4. Culinary certification or formal training in a reputable culinary institution.
5. Ability to adapt to the constraints of a yacht kitchen and create varied international menus.
6. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
