Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional and passionate Male Sole Chef for a Rotational role to join a prestigious 55m Private & Charter Sailing Yacht in January with cruising destinations including Newport, the Caribbean, Greenland, USA, and the Bahamas. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in both private and charter settings. You will work with a crew of 10 and cater to up to 12 guests, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience. The British owners are super relaxed and emphasize finding the right chef match, focusing on a genuine love of food and the culinary craft. A paid trial week will be held in January in Val D'Isare to assess compatibility and skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create and prepare high-quality meals for up to 12 guests, catering to various dietary needs and preferences.
2. Collaborate with the existing chef to ensure a seamless rotation and maintain culinary standards.
3. Plan menus with the owners' specific preferences and dietary requirements in mind, with input from the existing chef.
4. Source and procure fresh and high-quality ingredients, managing provisions and inventory effectively.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary galley at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Assist in planning and executing themed dinners and special events to enhance the guests' overall experience.

Skills & Experience

1. Culinary trained with a strong restaurant background.
2. Must possess a genuine love for food and a passion for the craft.
3. Prior sailing experience is essential.
4. Experience working on private and charter yachts, mainly private use.
5. B1B2 visa ideally in hand; assistance provided to obtain if necessary.
6. Flexibility to rotate with the existing chef and no ego; team-oriented.
