Job Description

mymuybueno Private Chefs is seeking a Sole Chef for a 50m Private and Charter M/Y. 

Start date would be 1st July in Nice, until the end of the season, which would be end of October/ early November.

The yacht will be in France, and has 3 charters booked and there’s room for one or two more.

There is also an owner’s trip in September in Sardinia and Ibiza as he will be taking part in a couple of sailing regattas.

The season will officially end after the America’s Cup in Barcelona, where they have a berth for the month of October.

13 crew and up to 10 guests. The owners are German, and their likes, dislikes and preferences are very well documented Long term Captain been with the family for 10+ years. 

We have a well-established crew and there is a low ego/ no drama atmosphere on board, so I am looking for a candidate who can fit into this.

I expect a decent standard of crew food, but this of course takes second place when there are guests on board. In any case, a healthy variety of options would be required.

Good galley management, rotation of food, budgeting and limiting food waste are a priority. There is a generous budget for crew food.

Owners like fresh Mediterranean & Asian style cuisine as well as freshly made bread, sauces, etc.

The idea is to find a candidate who would be happy to do future seasons with us or consider a rotation as this discussion is currently on the table with the owner.

Skills & Experience

  • Your STCW should have been renewed if it was over five years old in January 2017
  • Your ENG1 must also be in date, within six months of expiry, and your passport also
  • Your Security Awareness Certification, and B1B2 visa if in hand, are all uploaded also.
  • You should have excellent longevity with solid references for the past two years on your file for us to check, and present to the client with your CV.
